IR 1211 discontinued

IR 1211 (art. no. 650302XX), the signal amplifier for our IR transmitter IR 1411, has been discontinued and is no longer part of our product range. Consequently, it is no longer possible to design IR systems where the signal from an IR 1411 is amplified to cover larger areas.

If a larger coverage area is required, multiple IR 1411 units with separate signal lines must instead be specified.

The reason for this decision is very low demand combined with unreasonably high minimum manufacturing quantities.
